I can confidently say that you, sir, have one of the dopest clothing lines I've seen in my life so far. It's a shame I wasn't able to catch any of Series 3 in my size, but I will for sure be on it when Series 4 drops. Keep doing what you're doing man, you've got my support and admiration.

Thanks, man! Your praise motivates me to do things BIGGER and BETTER! Definitely be on the look out for Series 4! I plan on a release party and hope to see you there!

FFB x VSA

Yesterday, my friends from the UTA VSA (Vietnamese Student Association) invited me over for a Thanksgiving Potluck dinner. They provided the food while I provided the shirts. The FFB x VSA EXCLUSIVE shirts that is…

Larry and Long of the VSA first approached me when I was working Red’s Pop Shop a few months back. They are BIG FFB fans and really, really, REALLY wanted ME to design a shirt for their association. They said, and I quote…”We want the BEST in the area to make our shirts.” —Of course I knew this was a total ass-kissing tactic, but c’mon now…..that’s DAMN FLATTERING!

Truth was, I really didn’t want to do the design. My time is SO valuable and I didn’t think I could pull off another design right in the middle designing FFB4 and all of the other things I had going on. That, plus the fact that I absolutely HATE listening to people, let alone a couple of college kids! But I gave it some thought and figured if I could get an association at a major university (also my alma mater) to wear my tees, then exposure of my brand would be off the charts! FFB is still a very young brand, so it’s the exposure that I ALWAYS have my sights on.

Larry and Long already had a vision in their head, they wanted a Dragon Dancer in the style of the Astro Fur design. They pretty much said…“That’s it. We’ll give you total creative control to handle the rest.” —now that’s what I like to hear! The end result…

RED for VSA members…

…and GOLD for VSA officers.

Along the way of designing these shirts, the VSA have become great friends and even BIGGER supporters of my brand. It’s a very cool feeling to know that an ENTIRE student association has my back! If anyone is interested in one of these SUPER EXCLUSIVE FFB shirts, then you’re gonna have to consider joining the VSA. It’s THE ONLY way. Click HERE to visit the VSA’s facebook page. GOOD LUCK!

P.S. I am NOT doing anymore designs for anybody else! So don’t try asking. I WILL say…“NO!” Damn, that sounded douchey. Ah well.

STITCHED UP RECAP

After a night of ARTOPIA, I woke up early the next morning and headed out to San Antonio for the first ever STITCHED UP event. Stitched Up is an expo of Texas (AND TEXAS ONLY!) street / apparel brands. C’mon! let’s check it out!

At the event, I made many new friends and fans…

I met Joseph earlier in the year when I was working Sneakerpalooza. Since then, Joseph has started his own line, Joseph Silvas Clothing. Be his friend on facebook and tell him that FFB wishes him nothing but the best of luck!

It was good to see BIG FFB supporters, Shelton and Kayleyah from Houston again. I’m glad to see that they’re still the same sweet / genorous couple that I met the first time during my How to Start Your Own T-shirt Brand workshop at We Are 1976 this past Summer.

I had a blast talking / getting to know a few of my twitter followers, @itsfang, @aaiigght and @MirandaFHolt! All three are from Corpus Christi, all three were super cool and all 3 are now Fur Face Boys! SEE HERE!

Seeing familiar faces from Dallas / Ft. Worth made me feel right at home! The Heatseekers Krew were out showcasing their sneaker collection AND their Fur Face Boy attire! Here’s Stan looking hard in his MEGA RARE FFB x Shogun (from Series 2) collab shirt. Stan tells me that someone wanted to buy the shirt from him for $75 but it was no deal! SMART DECISION STAN!

Also from Dallas were Frank of Nerdy Fresh…

…and the Matrimoney millionaires.

Houston was well represented with Grits…

…3 Kings Clothing…

…and Remix.

San Antonio brands included Million Monkey Clothing Company.…

…Face of Fame…

…Kicks on Tight…

…and Intellectual Clothing.

All in all, the event was great! The main purpose of doing these events is to just keep exposing my brand, meet new people and to keep making new memories, and that I did! To see more photos from STITCHED UP just click HERE.

A HUGE THANKS goes out to my man, Fur Face Angel for riding along with me from Dallas to San Antonio (and then back), helping me out at the event and sharing loads of laughs together. The trip DEFINITELY wouldn’t have been as much fun as it was without him. I don’t trust many when it comes to Fur Face Boy, but when it comes to Angel, he’s one of the very few.

It’s so strange how Angel has such an outgoing personality, but whenever I’m pointing the camera at him, he turns all camera shy and shit (and it’s only when I point the camera at him! IT’S SO F

ING WEIRD!
)…

…as a matter of fact, he’s so shy, that he wouldn’t have ever allowed me to shoot this video of him as we were driving to San Antonio. But little did he know, I did…(Visit my RANDOM page to watch the video)

ARTOPIA RECAP

The first ever Dallas Artopia was INCREDIBLE…

…and I’m proud to have played a part in it! What exactly was my part, you ask? Well, DECADE clothing and I had to each create an exclusive Artopia design, then battle it out to see which T-shirt label reigned supreme via voting by the MANY, MANY, MANY people (like the guy below) who came to the event!

FFB fan, Chante made sure to come early……for the beer of course!

Drunk white girls. Yay!

It seems like I come across Hubert everywhere (even on the Angry Asian Man blog), but this is the first time I actually took a photo of him. CHEEEEEESE!

I had fun times talking to UTA Architecture student / shapre dressed man, Javi.

Hulk Hogan showed up too! Just kidding, this is Will Binnie. I met Will back in September when I was working Red’s Pop Shop. Not only is WIll an incredible artist (see HERE), he’s also made out of beer!

I like LOVE art type girls.

M#THA F*CKING KIDDRAE’s got my back, so I got his front. (that sounds strange. Ah well.) Hey Brittany!

Models!

Along with LOADS of people, there was also LOADS of art! DUH!

Platinum Jesus piece art from Blakely Dadson.

Brent Ozaeta did a live art installation on top of his already set up installation. Brent was a BUSY man that night. He made 99.9% of the loaded Artopia crowd look lazy.

There was even a fashion runway show……..which I missed.

Awesome art was EVERYWHERE!

My friends, Matt and Conner aka the Magnificent Beard did these amazing llve poster screen prints!

This is such a breath-taking sight to see. Art at it’s finest.

This guy, Ashley was all over the place. I swear I saw him and talked to him on like 5 different occasions. With each occasion, he got more and more out there. It definitely made for very entertaining conversation.

Mylan was one of the people who helped out with Artopia. Not only did she help out, but she also likes to eat McRibs AND she was one of the featured artists! Check out some of her SUPER COOL work HERE. Doesn’t your art skills feel so inferior now?

This is Mylan’s Boy Toy, Taro. Prepare to feel even more inferior. Why? Because Taro also has SUPER COOL artwork. Check it out HERE.

Fur Face Angel tagged along with me and we didn’t just have a blast, we had a SUPER BLAST! The next time you see Angel, remind him that he owes me lunch. He knows why.

Incase you guys are wondering who won the T-shirt battle it was……FUR FACE BOY! Yes! That’s me! awesome, huh?! The prize package is an EXTREMELY BADASS ONE! I’ll let you guys know more about it in a future blog post.

Here’s a photo I took of my friend Billy (check out his work HERE) holding up my victory poster! The Decade shirt was amazing! I admit, when I first saw it I started sweating! I knew it was going to be tough competition, but in the end, the people put in their vote and the outcome had been declared! FUR FACE BOY! FUR FACE BOY! FUR FACE BOY! FUR FACE BOY! Oh, and Happy Birthday, Billy!

And lastly, let’s give a round of applause for the man in charge of Artopia, Brian Gibb. Brian LITERALLY sweated his ass off running around like a mad man with dynamite straped to his body. I’d say that the first ever Dallas Artopia was a HUGE success! If I were to plan an art related event, I would put my total trust in Brian to make it happen. Speaking of an event………nevermind. You guys will find out later.
